I’ve read a few blog posts on here and this was the first place I thought of when I saved $653 on my car insurance. I had the same insurance company and the same coverage for years and I never really thought about how much I might be overpaying. I always liked those Geico commercials with the little gecko, they’re hilarious but for years somehow I missed the point. Finally in this tough economy I was forced to really take a look at my finances and find ways to decrease my monthly cash flow and it hit me. It can’t hurt to do a little insurance shopping. I dusted off the old laptop and starting checking out all the big names. After much searching able to pull in a good amount of quotes. I was shocked to see such a wide variety of quotes for the same level of coverage on the same vehicles and I’m talking about big name companies. I got quotes from Geico, Esurance, Farmers, All-State and many more including some smaller companies I’d never heard of. A couple quotes were higher than I was paying, I won’t mention any names but the majority of the quotes were actually less than I was paying. After doing some research and finding out they had high customer service ratings I went with Esurance and saved $653 a year over my previous insurer! I was able to cut roughly $55 out of my monthly expenses without changing anything except my auto insurance company. I was/am truly amazed. Just wanted to share my story and encourage all of you to shop around for car insurance, it pays big time!
